Qualifications:
Active special education teaching credential is required. Documented experience teaching students with moderate to severe disabilities. Strong knowledge of individualized education program (IEP) development and implementation. Excellent communication and collaboration skills with families, colleagues, and support staff. Passion for differentiated instruction and positive behavior support. Ability to foster a nurturing, structured, and inclusive classroom environment.
Responsibilities:
Adapt and deliver core curriculum to elementary students with diverse learning needs. Develop and maintain IEPs in partnership with parents, specialists, and administration. Integrate evidence-based strategies, assistive technology, and behavioral supports. Monitor student progress, collect data, and adjust instruction as needed. Collaborate with general educators and paraprofessionals to promote inclusive practices. Maintain clear documentation in compliance with district and state requirements.
