This contract opportunity empowers you to support learners in a vibrant and inclusive educational setting near Malden, MA.
Key Qualifications:
Valid certification as a Teacher of the Deaf/Hard of Hearing (DHH) Experience working with children or adolescents who are Deaf or Hard of Hearing in school environments Proficiency in assessing and adapting curriculum to accommodate students' auditory needs Strong communication skills, including the ability to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams, parents, and students Familiarity with assistive listening devices and technology is a plus Knowledge of IEP processes and commitment to individualized instruction
What You'll Do:
Provide direct instructional services to students identified as Deaf or Hard of Hearing Develop and implement educational plans tailored to students' unique abilities and learning styles Adapt materials and teaching methods to enhance accessibility and engagement Monitor student progress, maintaining accurate records and documentation in adherence to school and state guidelines Consult regularly with general education teachers, speech-language pathologists, and other support staff to foster inclusive practices Participate in IEP meetings, offering insights and recommendations for student success Support the integration of assistive technology to promote communication and academic growth
