Key Qualifications:

Valid certification as a Special Education Teacher is required Prior experience working with elementary-aged students preferred Familiarity with a range of disabilities, including Other Health Impairment (OHI), Learning Disabilities, Autism Spectrum Disorder, and Language Impairment Strong ability to collaborate as part of an interdisciplinary team Excellent communication skills for interacting with students, staff, and families

Core Responsibilities:

Serve approximately 10-15 elementary students on a fluid caseload Provide instructional and behavioral support for students with varying needs, primarily inside the general education classroom Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) tailored to each students needs Collaborate with general education teachers to ensure inclusive practices and appropriate accommodations Monitor student progress and adapt teaching strategies to promote academic growth and social-emotional development Maintain detailed documentation in compliance with state and federal regulations Engage effectively with families and support networks to foster positive learning experiences This role provides the opportunity to be an essential part of an inclusive educational environment, helping students reach crucial milestones.
