Category Schools - Special Education Teacher Job Type Contract Bring your expertise as a Special Education Teacher to a highly supportive educational environment near Parma, MI! Educational professionals are needed to fill two contract positions—one at the elementary level and one at the middle school level—for a resource classroom setting. Choose the age group that aligns with your strengths and interests for the upcoming school year.

Key Qualifications:

Valid and active Michigan Special Education teaching license (documentation required upon submission) Experience in resource classroom settings preferred Ability to work collaboratively with general education teachers, therapists, and families Strong communication and organizational skills Commitment to fostering an inclusive, supportive classroom environment

Role Overview:

Start as soon as possible, with the contract extending tentatively through June 2027 Full-time schedule (35 hours/week) Serve either elementary (caseload of 10 students) or middle school students (caseload of 11 students), based on your preference

Schedule:

East Leroy Elementary:

7:55 a.m. - 3:10 p.m.

Athens High School:

7:35 a.m. - 2:40 p.m. Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) Collaborate with staff to support each student's success and personal growth Modify instructional materials and adapt lessons to diverse learning needs Monitor progress, conduct assessments, and provide meaningful feedback This opportunity offers rewarding daily interactions with students and the chance to make a lasting impact as a valued member of a dedicated educational team.
