This contract opportunity requires an enthusiastic and flexible educator ready to make a difference across two locations, with positions available based on your preference for elementary or middle school.

Key Qualifications:

Active Special Education Teacher license in Michiganplease provide proof upon application. Previous experience working with students in a resource room or special education setting is strongly preferred. Ability to tailor instruction to meet the diverse needs of students with varying abilities. Strong communication and collaboration skills for working with general education teachers, support staff, and families. Organized, self-motivated, and adaptable to changing classroom dynamics. Commitment to student development, academic progress, and social-emotional wellbeing.

Responsibilities:

Deliver differentiated instruction and individualized support for students on your caseload (elementary: 10 or middle school: 11). Collaborate with classroom teachers to implement IEPs and provide effective accommodations and modifications. Monitor and track student progress, maintaining clear and accurate documentation. Communicate regularly with parents and families regarding goals, achievements, and needs. Contribute to a positive, inclusive classroom atmosphere that enables every student to succeed. Participate in multidisciplinary meetings and collaborate with educational staff across both assigned schools.
