Growth opportunities Tuition reimbursement Extensive coaching and support system Position Overview We are seeking a dedicated Special Education Teacher to lead our secondary resource room and support students in grades 6-12. The role centers on push-in and pull-out services for students with diverse learning needs. The ideal candidate delivers personalized instruction and accommodations that help students succeed academically and build essential life skills. Responsibilities Case Management and IEPs Serve as case manager: assess student strengths and needs and develop IEPs with measurable goals aligned to state standards. Collaborate with the Special Education Coordinator, general education teachers, parents, and support staff throughout the IEP process. Instruction and Intervention Provide targeted push-in and pull-out support through one-on-one and small-group instruction. Design differentiated strategies and materials for a range of learning needs, incorporating assistive technology where appropriate. Data and Progress Monitoring Track student progress toward IEP goals and adjust instruction to improve outcomes. Maintain accurate records and prepare progress reports for families and administration. Collaboration Work with general education teachers and staff to ensure accommodations and modifications are implemented effectively. Contribute to team meetings, parent conferences, and school-wide collaboration. Qualifications Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education or a related field. Valid Michigan teaching certificate with a special education endorsement. Experience at the middle school and/or high school level, ideally with push-in and pull-out services. Familiarity with IDEA and other special education laws and regulations. Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate with a range of stakeholders. Patience, empathy, and a genuine commitment to student growth.

$60,000.00 - $72,500.00 per year
