Job Description

Step into a fulfilling opportunity supporting middle school learners through co-teaching ASD Math in a dynamic school environment. This full-time, contract role is ideal for a passionate Special Education Teacher ready to make a lasting difference. From now through June 10, 2027, youll inspire growth and foster academic achievement, working 37.5 hours per week alongside a dedicated teaching team.
Qualifications and Preferred Experience:
Must hold a valid MN Special Education teaching certification; Tier 3 or 4 preferred. Proven experience as a Special Education Teacher, especially in middle school settings. Strong collaboration skills for co-teaching and lesson planning with general education staff. Deep understanding of best practices for supporting students with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD). Exceptional communication abilities to engage with students, families, and colleagues. Skill in adapting curriculum and instruction to meet diverse learning needs.
Key Responsibilities:
Co-teach ASD Math classes within a middle school environment, ensuring inclusive and supportive learning for all students. Develop, implement, and adapt Individualized Education Programs (IEPs). Partner with general education teachers to modify lessons and classroom activities. Use assessment data to inform instructional strategies and track student progress. Foster a positive, respectful classroom culture that encourages student participation and engagement. Provide consistent feedback to students and collaborate closely with families and support staff.
