Category Schools - Paraprofessional Job Type Contract Step into a rewarding opportunity supporting students as an Educational Support Professional (ESP/Paraprofessional) in a dynamic educational setting. These full-time, contract positions are available across various programs including one-on-one support, center-based programs, and resource rooms. With multiple openings district-wide, you'll have the chance to match your skills and passions to the environment that fits you best. This role will begin as soon as possible and extends through the end of the 2026-2027 school year.
Qualifications & Desired Experience:
State-recognized Paraprofessional Certification or eligibility to meet local requirements. Proven experience assisting K-12 students, especially in one-on-one or specialized educational settings. Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate with teachers, therapists, and families. Flexibility and compassion, with a commitment to helping young learners maximize their growth and independence. Patience and adaptability to support diverse learning needs and behavioral profiles.
Core Responsibilities:
Provide academic, social, and behavioral support to students in accordance with Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) and teacher guidance. Assist students in accessing curriculum, participating in classroom activities, and developing positive peer relationships. Monitor student safety and well-being throughout the school day, both in and out of the classroom. Maintain accurate documentation on student progress and behaviors as requested. Collaborate closely with instructional teams to implement best practices and accommodate learning needs. Foster a supportive, inclusive, and respectful learning atmosphere.
