This full-time contract position offers 32.5 hours per week during the full school year, providing continuous support to a female student with significant needs in a well-resourced, encouraging classroom. What were looking for:
Current Para Test Certification, OR two years of post-secondary coursework (60 semester or 90 quarter credits), OR a college degree from an accredited institution Previous experience working as a paraprofessional, loved ones with disabilities, or in special education settings preferred Energetic, patient, and understanding, with the resilience to support a non-verbal student prone to occasional frustration or physical behaviors Comfortable assisting with personal care needs, including toileting, lifting, and feeding Able to maintain professionalism and empathy in all situations Female candidates strongly encouraged due to the nature of care required Willingness to participate in an in-person interview Ability to work full-time, 32.5 hours per week onsite through the school year
Responsibilities:
Offer direct 1:1 support to a middle school student facing multiple disabilities Assist with daily academic and personal tasks, including toileting, feeding, and mobility Create a positive and safe learning atmosphere Collaborate with a supportive classroom team and follow tailored behavior and care plans Foster meaningful connections to promote independence and confidence Imagine the impact of your kindness and dedication, helping shape the school experience for a student who relies on your support.
