Job Description

Step into a rewarding educational setting as a Special Education Teacher, supporting elementary students in a center-based program for the 2026/2027 school year. You'll be part of a supportive contract team with a steady schedule, working with a diverse caseload of approximately 11 students. This role provides the opportunity to make a daily impact in a collaborative environment, with the added benefit of professional growth over a multi-year assignment.
Key Qualifications:
Active Minnesota PELSB Special Education Teaching License Licensure in Emotional or Behavioral Disorders (EBD) required Tier 1 or Tier 2 licensure accepted; preference given to Tier 3 or 4 Previous experience in elementary EBD settings strongly preferred Strong communication, collaboration, and classroom management abilities Commitment to promoting an inclusive and supportive learning environment Must be onsite; no virtual positions available
Primary Responsibilities:
Develop and deliver individualized instruction and behavioral supports aligned with IEP goals Track and document student progress using data-driven approaches Adapt curriculum materials to meet diverse learning needs Facilitate positive peer relationships and a welcoming classroom atmosphere Collaborate with school staff, related service providers, and families Comply with state/federal special education policies and reporting requirements Enjoy a consistent 40-hour workweek, a supportive campus atmosphere, and the chance to build meaningful relationships with students and staff over several academic years.
