Job Description

Embark on a rewarding contract opportunity as a Special Education Teacher in the Minneapolis, MN area, working with a dedicated school community close to Lakeville. This position offers an immediate start and continues through the end of the school year, with the potential to transition from part-time to full-time hours as needed. As a Special Education Teacher, you will shape the educational experience for students with diverse learning needs. The role involves working Monday through Friday, from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., at a single school site. You will provide targeted support, foster growth, and collaborate closely with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs).
Qualifications & Experience:
Valid Special Education teaching license in the state of Minnesota (fully licensed status required) Previous experience in a special education classroom preferred Ability to adapt instruction for varying levels of ability and diverse student populations Strong organizational and communication skills Flexibility to work in a dynamic school environment
Responsibilities:
Deliver engaging, standards-based instruction tailored to students unique learning needs Develop, implement, and monitor Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) Work collaboratively with general education teachers, parents, and support staff Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to educational assessments Foster a positive, inclusive classroom atmosphere where every student feels supported Maintain accurate records and comply with all state and district guidelines This contract position offers a chance to advance your career in special education while making a meaningful difference in the lives of students.
