9686177-55369 Job Description Step into a rewarding role supporting elementary students in a center-based special education setting for the 2026-2027 school year. This contract opportunity spans from now through early June 2027, offering the chance to make a significant impact in a collaborative elementary environment. Youll work with a dynamic group of approximately 11 students (with enrollment changes possible), designing and delivering instruction tailored to unique learning needs.
Key Qualifications & Experience:
Valid Minnesota PELSB Special Education Teaching License is essential Acceptable licensure includes Tier 1 or 2, with preference for Tier 3 or 4 Licensure must specifically include Emotional or Behavioral Disorders (EBD) Commitment to fully on-site instruction (no virtual placements) Center-based or self-contained classroom experience is beneficial Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills Collaborative mindset to engage with families, related service providers, and support staff
Responsibilities:
Deliver targeted instruction to elementary students with emotional or behavioral disorders Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) in partnership with families and teams Monitor progress and adapt tasks to meet individualized student goals Maintain accurate documentation and meet compliance timelines Foster a positive, inclusive, and structured learning environment Collaborate closely with administration, paraprofessionals, and other specialists to support student success In this role, you will build strong relationships within the school community and have a profound impact on student growth and emotional well-being.
