We are searching for a full-time Special Education Teacher to teach at our Adolescent Home for Female Survivors of Human Trafficking. QUALIFICATIONS
A Valid MS Educator License with the endorsement codes: 221 and 910 Ability to plan, keep records, work collaboratively with staff and residents, and follow Agency policies and procedures. Must maintain a safe driving Record and have personal auto liability insurance ($50K minimum). Bachelor's Degree in Special Education.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Develops, plans and implements curriculum, lesson plans and educational programs for adolescent girls ages 12-18. Conduct initial assessments, and develop lesson plans to facilitate learning. Advise, test and teaches students in a variety of academic subjects. Create an environment of respect and create a culture of learning through proficient classroom procedures and appropriate management of student behavior. Demonstrates proficient strategies for instruction, including; communication with students, using questioning techniques, use of engagement strategies and demonstrating flexibility and responsiveness to student instructional needs. Maintain accurate and complete records of students' progress and development. Participate in staff meetings and in-service training events. Demonstrate the ability to maintain the confidentiality of the program and agency information. Fullfills all other related duties as assigned.
