Qualifications & Desired Experience:

Valid North Carolina teaching license in Special Education, or eligibility for a reciprocal license if currently licensed in another state. Experience in a classroom setting is preferred, but not required; motivated new teachers are welcome. Demonstrated passion for education, student advocacy, and the special education field. Strong collaboration and communication skills for working closely with colleagues, students, and families.

Key Responsibilities:

Co-teach in a middle school special education setting, supporting students individualized learning needs. Develop and implement differentiated educational plans according to IEPs. Foster an inclusive and positive classroom atmosphere. Communicate regularly with parents, staff, and other educators to ensure student success. Participate in school-wide meetings, ongoing training, and professional development.
