Category Schools - Special Education Teacher Job Type Contract Make a difference by supporting students as a Special Education Teacher at the middle school level. This full-time, contract opportunity is available immediately through June 4, 2027. You'll provide instruction and build positive relationships in a self-contained, non-severe classroom environment, guiding learners toward success.

Key Qualifications:

Valid teaching certification in Special Education (or eligibility for certification) Experience working in middle school settings preferred Understanding of IEP development, implementation, and progress monitoring Ability to modify curriculum and instruction to meet individual needs Strong communication skills for collaborating with staff and families Commitment to fostering an inclusive, supportive learning environment

Core Responsibilities:

Deliver individualized and small group instruction based on student IEPs Develop, maintain, and review IEPs in consultation with multidisciplinary teams Monitor student progress, collect data, and adjust teaching strategies appropriately Communicate with families, related service personnel, and administration Support students' social, emotional, and behavioral growth in alignment with school policies Maintain accurate documentation and meet required deadlines Promote a positive, respectful classroom culture You'll work Monday through Friday from 7:15am to 3:15pm for 37.5 hours each week.
