Job Description

Bring your expertise in supporting young learners as a Teacher of the Deaf/Hard of Hearing and make a difference in early childhood education. This contract opportunity begins as soon as possible and extends through May 20, 2027. Focused on serving an early childhood caseload (birth to 5 years old), you will play an essential role in fostering communication, language development, and academic readiness in an onsite, collaborative setting. Ideal candidates are committed to evidence-based instructional strategies, possess a deep understanding of the unique needs of students who are deaf or hard of hearing, and are ready to deliver tailored educational experiences. Flexible scheduling is available, with full-time and part-time positions (15-25 hours per week for part-time) to accommodate your availability.
Qualifications & Experience:
Valid teaching certification as a Teacher of the Deaf/Hard of Hearing Proficiency in auditory/oral, total communication, and/or American Sign Language methodologies Experience with early childhood populations, preferably in a school-based setting Ability to assess, develop, and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) Strong collaboration skills with families, teachers, and related service staff
Responsibilities:
Deliver specialized instruction and support to students ages birth to five Adapt curricula and instructional techniques to fit each childs needs Monitor and document progress toward IEP goals Provide resources, training, and consultation to staff and families Maintain open communication with parents and multidisciplinary teams Ensure compliance with all state and federal regulations Enjoy the opportunity to have a lasting impact on the youngest students while working onsite in a supportive environment.
