Qualifications & Experience:

Valid Special Education Teacher certification (state-specific or eligible for reciprocal endorsement) Experience working with high school students, particularly those with diverse learning and behavioral needs Strong understanding of IEP development, progress monitoring, and behavior management strategies Ability to work effectively with parents, multidisciplinary teams, and administrators Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills Commitment to promoting an inclusive and supportive learning environment

Responsibilities:

Provide direct instruction and adapt curriculum to meet each student's IEP Foster positive relationships, encourage student independence, and support social-emotional growth Assess and track student progress through ongoing data collection and collaboration with team members Participate in IEP meetings and communicate regularly with families and staff Utilize evidence-based strategies and differentiated instruction to address individual goals Maintain accurate records and ensure compliance with special education laws and regulations This is a full-time role, Monday through Friday, for 35-37.5 hours per week with a high school caseload.
