Special Education Teacher - Hinsdale, New Hampshire

Job Description

Make a meaningful impact in the lives of students by supporting and guiding middle and high school learners in their academic journeys. A fulfilling contract opportunity is available for an experienced Special Education Teacher and Case Manager to lead Life Skills instruction and provide case management at a welcoming educational environment for the 2026-2027 school year. In this important role, you'll teach four Life Skills classes and one 8th-grade Learning Lab (Specially Designed Instruction, SDI) class to middle and high school students. Your expertise will help tailor education plans, foster independence, and collaborate with staff and families to promote each student's success.
Qualifications & Experience:
Valid Special Education Teacher certification (or eligibility) for middle/high school grades Prior experience with Life Skills instruction and/or case management for students requiring special education services Strong understanding of IEP process, development, and implementation Ability to create and modify individualized instructional materials and programs Excellent interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills Passion for supporting diverse learners in achieving success
Key Responsibilities:
Provide high-quality instruction in Life Skills to small groups of students Manage a caseload of students with IEPs, coordinating services and accommodations Collaborate with general education teachers, related service providers, and families Monitor student progress and maintain accurate documentation Facilitate IEP meetings, write progress reports, and ensure compliance with all requirements Encourage student engagement, growth, and independence in a supportive classroom environment
