Qualifications and Preferred Experience:
Valid state certification in Special Education. Previous experience teaching or supporting students with diverse learning needs. Strong understanding of IEP development, implementation, and modification. Effective communication skills to engage with students, parents, and fellow educators. Ability to adapt instructional strategies to accommodate different learning styles and abilities. Commitment to fostering an inclusive, supportive classroom environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop, implement, and evaluate individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to student goals. Partner with general education staff to support integration and differentiation in the classroom. Track student progress, document outcomes, and adjust instruction as needed. Provide engaging, accessible lessons that encourage academic achievement and social-emotional growth. Communicate regularly with families and multidisciplinary teams to share progress and collaborate on student success. Participate in professional development to stay current with best practices in special education. Uphold all state and federal regulations for special education programs.
