Step into a rewarding contract opportunity as a Special Education Teacher serving PreK-5th grade students! Located near Magdalena, NM, this role is perfect for educators passionate about making a difference in the lives of young learners in both inclusion and small group settings. You'll work with a caseload of 18 students, providing essential support across four days each week. As a Special Education Teacher in this role, you'll collaborate with school staff, families, and fellow professionals to foster a positive learning environment that supports each child's unique abilities. Qualifications and Desired Experience:
Current New Mexico Special Education (NM SPED) teaching license required Classroom experience with PreK-5th grade students preferred Skilled in designing and implementing Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) Capable of adapting teaching strategies to meet diverse learning needs Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills Demonstrated commitment to inclusion and differentiated instruction
Key Responsibilities:
Deliver engaging instruction to students in both inclusion and pull-out small group formats Develop, update, and implement IEPs in compliance with state and federal regulations Monitor student progress and adjust strategies as needed Foster a welcoming classroom environment to enhance student participation Collaborate with families, support staff, and related service providers Maintain accurate documentation and timely reporting This contract assignment offers the chance to contribute your expertise in a supportive, welcoming school community.
