Desired Experience and Qualifications:

Valid Special Education teaching certification Previous experience supporting students with autism, in either classroom or resource settings Understanding of IEP development, implementation, and progress monitoring Familiarity with evidence-based instructional strategies for learners with autism Strong collaboration skills when working with multidisciplinary teams, families, and support staff Ability to create a positive, structured, and inclusive classroom environment

Primary Responsibilities:

Deliver tailored instruction across academic subjects to students on the autism spectrum Adapt and modify curriculum to accommodate individual learning needs and IEP goals Foster student independence and strong self-advocacy skills Collaborate closely with general education teachers, speech/language pathologists, related service providers, and families Monitor, document, and report on student progress regularly Participate in IEP meetings, multidisciplinary team conferences, and professional development
