Key Qualifications and Experience:

Current certification as a Special Education Teacher Experience working with students who have significant medical needs is strongly preferred Ability to deliver engaging, individualized instruction in a non-traditional setting Compassionate, patient, and sensitive to the unique social-emotional and medical needs of young children Strong communication skills to collaborate with healthcare staff and family members Flexibility and adaptability to adjust lesson plans as required

Primary Responsibilities:

Provide 1:1 instruction for a 7-year-old student in a nursing home environment for 2-3 hours per day Develop and implement customized educational plans aligned with the students abilities, IEP goals, and medical considerations Monitor progress, document achievements, and collaborate with healthcare providers and family Create a supportive, stimulating environment that encourages the students participation and love for learning Ensure all instructional activities comply with applicable guidelines for medically fragile children
