This contract opportunity is ideal for experienced Special Education Teachers passionate about individualized education and supporting students with significant medical needs.

Key Qualifications:

Current certification as a Special Education Teacher Previous experience working with K-12 students requiring specialized instruction Comfortable adapting curriculum and instructional approaches to meet one-on-one learning needs Familiarity with supporting children who are medically fragile or have complex care needs is preferred Ability to build positive rapport and communicate effectively with students, families, and collaborative care teams Strong organizational skills and patience

Responsibilities:

Deliver individualized instruction to a single student for 2-3 hours per day, tailoring lessons to match IEP goals and cognitive abilities Collaborate with nursing home staff and related specialists to ensure a safe and supportive learning environment Monitor the students progress, adapting instructional methods as needed Maintain accurate documentation of attendance, lesson plans, and academic progress Communicate regularly with the students guardians and the wider educational team to foster alignment and support
