Key Qualifications & Experience:

Valid credential and licensure to teach Deaf/Hard of Hearing students Demonstrated experience providing educational support and instruction to students who are Deaf or Hard of Hearing in a K-12 setting Proficiency in American Sign Language (ASL) and knowledge of other communication methods used by the D/HH community Ability to develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) Strong communication skills for working with students, families, and school personnel Flexible, creative, and adaptive teaching style to meet varying student needs

Responsibilities:

Deliver specialized instruction to Deaf/Hard of Hearing students aligned with curricula and IEP goals Foster accessible learning environments by utilizing appropriate accommodations, assistive technology, and language modalities Collaborate with general education teachers, interpreters, and related service providers to support student success Conduct ongoing assessments and student progress monitoring, updating educational plans as needed Serve as a liaison among families, staff, and community resources to advocate for student needs Participate in professional development activities to stay current in the field of Deaf education This is a wonderful opportunity to contribute your knowledge while helping young learners thrive academically and socially.
