Job Description:
Special Education Teacher - ABA Experience Needed New York Therapy Placement Services, Inc. is seeking certified Special Education Teachers in grades 1-6 for the 2026-2027 school year . Teachers will provide functional academics, specialized instruction, and home instruction to school-age students . Positions offer flexible daytime hours , making this an ideal opportunity for professionals seeking short-term, high-paying assignments with scheduling flexibility. • Must be available between the hours of 10am-2pm, M-F, and must have ABA experience in order to be considered for the role. • Job Responsibilities Provide direct instruction aligned with student IEPs (functional academics and specialized instruction) Deliver services in home and/or school-based settings Maintain positive relationships with parents, teachers, related service providers, and supervisors Evaluate and assess student needs Adapt teaching methods and materials to meet individual student needs Utilize positive behavior support strategies Plan and implement lessons targeting IEP goals and objectives Collect and analyze data to monitor student progress Complete session notes and service coordination documentation Complete quarterly progress reports Complete annual review reports, as required Adhere to all NYSED and district mandates and reporting deadlines
Job Qualifications New York State Certification:
Students with Disabilities (Grades 1-6) Experience working with school-age students Strong written and verbal communication skills Ability to plan, prioritize, and manage time effectively Professional, dependable, and responsible Ability to meet strict documentation and reporting deadlines Bilingual Extension preferred for bilingual cases (not required) Benefits Competitive hourly rates with rapid payment (1099) Choose to be compensated monthly or bi-monthly Flexible daytime schedules Ongoing support from experienced Special Education Supervisors Dedicated Placement Coordinators who respect your availability and preferences NYTPS Inc. is NYSED-approved to offer Professional Development for Special Education Teachers Providers receive heavily discounted workshops throughout the year
Pay Rate:
