Two full-time contract positions are available: one supporting a high needs high school environment, and one focused on students in K-5 with significant needs. Your expertise as a Special Education Teacher will be key to creating supportive, inclusive classrooms for students who thrive on individualized attention and innovative instructional strategies. If you hold a current OH Intervention Specialist certification and are dedicated to improving outcomes for exceptional learners, this could be the perfect fit.
Qualifications and Skills:
Valid Ohio Intervention Specialist certification (required) Experience or strong interest working in high needs environments (high school or K-5) Proven ability to develop and implement IEPs tailored to a diverse range of student abilities Strong communication and collaboration skills for working with students, families, and staff Adaptable and proactive approach to addressing behavioral and instructional challenges Understanding of special education best practices and state/federal compliance requirements
Responsibilities:
Provide specialized instruction and support in either a high school or K-5 setting Design and deliver individualized education plans (IEPs) aligned with students' unique strengths and needs Collaborate with general education teachers, related service providers, and families Track and report student progress while maintaining accurate documentation Foster a positive and inclusive classroom culture where all students feel valued This is a full-time contract role for the entire 2026-2027 academic year in a supportive school environment.
