A Special Education Teacher teaches students who have disabilities, and adapts teaching methods to meet the needs of students. Assesses students and helps to develop individualized education plans that specify the services and accommodations needed for each student. Works in a classroom that includes only students with IEPs, or works with students and teachers in regular classes. For students with severe disabilities, may focus on developing skills for independent living. Works as part of a team that includes therapists, school counselors or social workers.

Job Description
AEA requests via internal applications will be accepted until 2:00 pm on 9/8/26
Hours:
3 hours (8 am to 11 am) based on need at least one Saturday per month
Salary:
$20 per hour in accordance with the
AEA CBA Qualifications:
Appropriate and valid Ohio teaching credential
Reports to: Building Principal
Employees must follow all board policies, all state, and federal laws, and adhere to the Ohio Code of Ethics set up by the Ohio Department of Education. Subject to all applicable laws, essential job functions of this position include the employee being punctual and capable of completing all of the duties of the position, with or without reasonable accommodation.
