Qualifications:

Valid Pennsylvania Instructional Certification in Special Education (PK8 or equivalent) Experience applying TEACCH, PECS, ABA, or other structured teaching methodologies Training or familiarity with restorative practices, trauma-informed care, or positive behavior supports Strong commitment to fostering inclusion and celebrating student growth Effective communication and organizational skills

Responsibilities:

Design and adapt lessons for elementary students with diverse learning needs in accordance with individualized education plans (IEPs) Employ evidence-based methods such as TEACCH, PECS, or ABA to create structured routines and instructional supports Establish a safe, therapeutic classroom climate that encourages student participation and social skill development Document student progress and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including families, therapists, and school staff Participate in professional development to stay current on best practices in special education and behavior supports Be at the forefront of innovative teaching while making a lasting impact on students lives.
