9620995-19082 Job Description Make an impact by supporting students with visual impairments in a flexible, part-time contract role. We're seeking a dedicated professional who can deliver specialized instruction and accommodations to help students succeed, with the option to provide services virtually. In this position, youll work closely with a specific student during their four academic blockstwo focused on reading and writing, and two on mathscheduled back-to-back from 12:00pm to 2:45pm, Monday through Friday. There is a slightly heavier emphasis on literacy support. The role encompasses both direct and indirect services, totaling approximately 15 hours per week (final details may shift according to student needs).
Desired Experience & Qualifications:
Certification and experience as a Teacher of the Visually Impaired (TVI) Comfortable delivering both direct and indirect services virtually or in person Skilled at providing accommodations: document modification, text enlargement, and adapted assignments Experience collaborating with general education teachers to ensure access and prevent academic regression Strong communication skills and the ability to work professionally in multidisciplinary teams
Key Responsibilities:
