Duties Develop and implement age-appropriate curricula that promote literacy, math skills, physical activity, and social-emotional growth for young children. Communicate regularly with parents or guardians about children's progress, developmental milestones, and any concerns. Conduct child development assessments and utilize standardized testing when appropriate to monitor progress. Support early intervention efforts by identifying children who may need additional assistance in areas such as speech, motor skills, or socialization. Maintain compliance with mandated reporting laws and ensure adherence to health and safety regulations including first aid and CPR certification. Qualifications Proven experience working with children in educational or childcare settings, including preschool or daycare environments. Strong knowledge of childhood development principles, early childhood education practices, and classroom management techniques. Experience developing curricula tailored to diverse learning needs, including special education and early intervention programs. Excellent communication skills for engaging with children, parents, colleagues, and community partners. Ability to plan engaging lessons that incorporate literacy education, math activities, physical education, and social-emotional learning. Familiarity with child welfare standards and the legal requirements of mandated reporting laws. Certification in first aid and CPR is required; ongoing professional development in early childhood education is preferred.
