Job Description

Category Schools - Special Education Teacher Job Type Contract Empower young learners with special education needs by stepping into a dynamic itinerant teaching role supporting community preschools across the Phoenixville and nearby areas. This contract opportunity provides an engaging and collaborative work environment, where your impact will be felt by preschool-aged children and their families. You will travel between preschools, manage a manageable caseload, and receive ongoing support and training to ensure your success from day one.

Key Qualifications:

Valid Pennsylvania certification in PK-4 and/or Special Education (emergency permits not accepted) Experience working with young children with special education needs strongly preferred Strong adaptability and organizational skills for managing an itinerant schedule Excellent communication and collaboration abilities when working with preschool staff and families Passion for supporting and advocating for children with diverse learning needs

Position Highlights:

Provide direct special education services to approximately 30 preschool students within their local community sites Full-time, contract position: Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM - 3:30 PM (35 hours per week) Collaborate with preschool teams and families to develop and implement individualized educational strategies Utilize your expertise and creativity to support students' growth and inclusion in preschool settings Benefit from hands-on training and ongoing guidance for a smooth transition into the role Travel between preschool sites in the community, building relationships and supporting a variety of young learners Shape the early educational journeys of children who benefit most from your skills and dedication.
