Category Schools - Special Education Teacher Job Type Contract Empower students to reach their fullest potential as a dedicated Special Education Teacher serving grades K-6 in an inclusive school environment near West Chester, PA. In this contract position, you'll work within both Emotional Support and Learning Support settings, collaborating with talented colleagues and supporting a diverse group of learners. This role involves a flexible, floating classroom assignment with a typical schedule of 35-40 hours per week. You'll play a vital role in guiding and inspiring students, while case managing and developing effective IEPs. The assignment is set to begin as soon as possible and will continue through early June 2027. What we're seeking: Current Instructional I or II certification in K-12 Special Education for Pennsylvania (strongly preferred) Emergency certified candidates considered, with at least two years of classroom experience and enrollment in a credentialing program or scheduled Praxis exam Demonstrated experience developing and managing IEPs Experience working with elementary and/or middle school students in both instructional and support settings Adaptability and genuine passion for supporting students with varying abilities Your responsibilities will include: Providing individualized and group instruction to students with diverse educational needs Developing, implementing, and monitoring IEPs in accordance with state and federal guidelines Collaborating with general education staff, parents, and related service providers Supporting students in achieving their emotional and academic goals Maintaining thorough documentation of student progress and case management activities This position offers competitive hourly compensation ranging from $39-$55, based on experience and certification.
