Full-Time | K-12 About the Role This virtual Teacher of the Deaf and Hard of Hearing (DHH) position supports K-12 students across Arizona through remote, school-based services. The role focuses on accessibility, instructional consultation, and collaboration with educational teams to ensure students who are deaf or hard of hearing have meaningful access to instruction in a virtual environment. Responsibilities Provide virtual instructional support and consultation for students who are deaf or hard of hearing Develop, implement, and monitor IEP goals and communication plans Collaborate with general education teachers, special education staff, related service providers, and families Recommend and support the use of assistive listening devices and accessibility technology Participate in virtual IEP meetings, eligibility meetings, and multidisciplinary team discussions Ensure instructional materials and classroom strategies promote accessibility and student participation Requirements Master's degree in Deaf Education or a related field Active Arizona Teacher of the Deaf and Hard of Hearing certification School-based experience supporting students who are deaf or hard of hearing preferred Knowledge of accessibility accommodations and assistive technology Virtual or telepractice experience preferred Teaching certification may be required depending on district.
