In this role, you will step into classrooms across various subjects, delivering engaging lessons and maintaining a positive learning environment. Your energetic approach will inspire students, support their academic growth, and ensure continuity of instruction in the absence of regular teachers. Duties Implement lesson plans provided by the regular classroom teacher, ensuring smooth instructional delivery across diverse subjects such as literacy, math, science, and social studies. Manage classroom behavior effectively by applying behavior management strategies that foster a respectful and productive learning atmosphere. Adapt instructional methods to meet the needs of students from various cultural backgrounds and with diverse learning styles, including those with autism or special needs. Maintain student engagement through interactive teaching techniques, incorporating educational technologies and computers when appropriate. Communicate proactively with students, staff, parents, and guardians regarding student progress and classroom activities, adhering to school policies on parent-teacher communication. Follow mandated reporting laws and school policies to ensure student safety and well-being at all times. Experience Strong communication skills are essential for effective interaction with students and administrators. Experience working within school policy guidelines and understanding mandated reporting laws ensures compliance with legal requirements. Previous tutoring can be beneficial in fostering a nurturing classroom environment focused on individual student growth.
