The role involves delivering tailored educational services to a student with hearing and speech-language impairments, helping to segment their day effectively and ensure consistent access to specialized instruction.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide telehealth-based support to a Deaf / Hard of Hearing student during the designated daily session. Utilize existing technology, including an iPad equipped with the Voco toolkit, to enhance communication and learning. Collaborate with school staff to coordinate support and adapt the instructional day to the student's needs. Monitor student progress and adjust strategies to optimize educational outcomes. Maintain clear and professional documentation of services provided during the telehealth sessions.
Qualifications:
Certified Teacher of the Deaf / Hard of Hearing or equivalent credentials. Experience working with Deaf and Hard of Hearing students, preferably in telehealth or remote learning formats. Familiarity with assistive technology tools such as the Voco toolkit. Strong communication skills, both verbal and written. Ability to manage time effectively within a focused session schedule.
