Job Description

Step into a rewarding role supporting students with high functional life skills in an elementary school setting. A full-time special education teacher is needed to cover a maternity leave, providing consistent support and instruction to a small group of engaged learners. This is an onsite contract position, running from mid-October through mid-January. In this position, youll work closely with approximately eight students and a team of three teaching assistants within a collaborative, inclusive classroom environment. Your day will run from 8:15 am to 3:45 pm, with a half-hour lunch break. Qualifications:
Valid Special Education Educator Certificate (active and in good standing) Previous experience in a special education classroom (elementary setting preferred) Strong understanding of individualized education programs (IEPs) and differentiated instruction Positive, adaptive, and team-oriented approach Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate with staff, students, and families
Responsibilities:
