9681824-02860 Job Description Make an impact as a contract Special Education Teacher supporting students in a high-functioning life skills classroom. This full-time opportunity begins the week of October 16, 2026, and continues through January 15, 2027. You'll be working in an engaging onsite setting, collaborating with a dedicated team to provide continuity of care for students while covering a maternity leave.

Responsibilities include:

Deliver individualized instruction and support to approximately eight students with diverse learning needs Design and implement lesson plans tailored to student IEP goals Supervise and collaborate with three classroom teaching assistants to maintain a supportive, inclusive environment Track student progress, complete documentation, and communicate regularly with families and staff Foster a positive classroom culture focused on growth, independence, and achievement Ideal candidates will have: An active Special Education Educator Certificate Experience working in special education, preferably with life skills or high-functioning needs Strong classroom management abilities and familiarity with individualized education programs Excellent communication skills and a collaborative approach Ability to commit to the full contract term: October 16, 2026 January 15, 2027 Enjoy a consistent weekday schedule from 8:15 AM to 3:45 PM, with a 30-minute unpaid lunch break.
