9663396-02886 Job Description Embark on a fulfilling contract opportunity delivering high-impact support to elementary learners in a special education setting. This position spans the 2026-2027 school year, with immediate start available through June 18, 2027. Youll work at a vibrant campus in Providence, serving elementary students through either a Resource/Inclusion approachsupporting those with mild-to-moderate disabilities integrated in the general curriculumor within a Self-Contained classroom environment, depending on specific site needs.

What you bring:

Current Rhode Island Department of Education (RIDE) Special Education teaching license in Early Childhood, Elementary, or Secondary. Compliance with the Right to Read Acteither already holding Structured Literacy proficiency or a willingness to obtain certification within your first year. Demonstrated expertise in developing and implementing individualized education programs (IEPs). Experience in adapting instructional methods to support diverse learning needs. Strong collaboration and communication skills to partner with general education staff, families, and service providers. A compassionate, student-centered mindset with the ability to respond flexibly to changing classroom dynamics.
