Job Description

Make a meaningful impact in the lives of students as a full-time Special Education Teacher. This role is dedicated to supporting a self-contained classroom for students with learning disabilities and offers the rewarding experience of contributing in an onsite school environment. Work alongside a supportive faculty, focusing on personalized education that helps every child reach their greatest academic and personal potential.
Key Qualifications:
Valid South Carolina teaching certification in Special Education, or documentation showing certification is pending Experience or strong interest in working with students who have learning disabilities in a classroom setting Ability to manage a self-contained classroom effectively and compassionately Strong communication and collaboration skills with students, colleagues, and families Commitment to creating an inclusive, nurturing, and consistent learning environment Passion for individualized instruction and advocacy for student success
Role Responsibilities:
Plan and deliver engaging lessons tailored to the needs of students with learning disabilities Manage classroom routines and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) Collaborate with other educators and support staff to develop strategies for student achievement Foster social-emotional growth and facilitate a positive classroom culture Maintain accurate records on student progress and communicate regularly with families and multidisciplinary teams Participate in staff meetings, professional development, and school events as required This is a contract opportunity offering a consistent 37.5-hour work week onsite within a supportive and purpose-driven school environment.
