r41793-29229 Job Description Special Education Teacher Social Support Program We are seeking a caring and motivated Special Education Teacher to join a school team in the Columbia, SC area . This full-time role supports elementary students in a Social Support Program and provides an opportunity to make a meaningful impact through individualized instruction, relationship building, and collaboration.

Through May 2027, or until the contract concludes

Caseload:

Approximately 1015 students

Grade Levels:

1st3rd grade

School Sites:

1 Key Responsibilities Deliver specially designed instruction tailored to each student's learning needs Adapt curriculum and classroom activities to support student access and participation Implement accommodations and services outlined in student IEPs Track academic and behavioral progress and use data to guide instruction Act as the Special Education Case Manager for assigned students Coordinate IEP meetings, updates, documentation, and progress reports Work closely with classroom teachers, families, administrators, and support professionals Establish a welcoming classroom environment that promotes confidence and independence Provide encouragement and consistent support to help students reach their individual goals What Were Looking For Valid Multi-categorical Special Education teaching certification Previous experience working with students receiving special education services preferred Strong instructional, organizational, and communication abilities Ability to build positive relationships with elementary-aged students Flexible, collaborative, and student-focused mindset Interview Virtual interviews available with advance notice If youre an educator who enjoys helping students build academic skills while developing confidence and independence, this could be a great opportunity to make a difference.
