This rewarding opportunity allows you to work with either elementary students in a self-contained classroom or middle schoolers in a resource classroom setting, providing tailored instruction and support to help every student succeed.

Qualifications:

Valid South Carolina Special Education teaching license with Multicategorical, Intellectual Disabilities, or Learning Disabilities certification Experience working with elementary and/or middle school-aged students Strong classroom management and communication skills A passion for fostering positive learning environments for children with diverse needs

Key Responsibilities:

Develop and implement individualized education programs (IEPs) that align with student abilities and educational goals Deliver engaging instruction to promote academic, social, and emotional growth Collaborate with general education teachers, specialists, and families to ensure students receive comprehensive support Track and document student progress, adjusting strategies as needed to maximize success Create an inclusive, structured, and encouraging classroom atmosphere Participate in school meetings, professional development, and ongoing communication with staff and families This contract role begins as soon as possible, with a consistent Monday through Friday schedule totaling 37.5 hours per week.
