9654180-29040 Job Description A rewarding opportunity is available for an experienced PreK Special Education Teacher to support young learners in a dynamic educational environment through a contract position. Work directly with 3-year-old students in a self-contained classroom, making a meaningful difference in early childhood special education. This role requires a professional who is passionate about serving students with developmental delays, providing tailored instruction, and collaborating with a dedicated school team. You'll be able to use your expertise to implement individualized learning plans and help each child grow academically, socially, and emotionally.
Qualifications:
Current South Carolina Special Education Teaching License with Early Childhood endorsements Experience working with preschool-age children, especially those with developmental delays Strong understanding of early childhood special education practices and regulations Ability to develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) Excellent communication and collaboration skills with families and team members
Responsibilities:
Teach and support a classroom of 3-year-old students with developmental delays Develop and execute engaging lessons that address each childs unique learning needs Assess student progress and adapt strategies to ensure success Comply with state and federal special education requirements, including documentation Collaborate with paraeducators, related service providers, and families to maximize student outcomes Foster a positive and supportive classroom environment This contract offers stability, with assignments running through May 21, 2027, and a full-time schedule of 37.5 hours each week.
