Category Schools - Special Education Teacher Job Type Contract Soliant Education is seeking qualified and dedicated Special Education Teachers for full-time, school-based opportunities in Darlington, South Carolina for the 2026-2027 school year. These positions are ideal for educators committed to providing individualized instruction and supporting the academic, behavioral, social, and functional needs of students receiving Special Education services. RESPONSIBILITIES
Develop, implement, and maintain Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) Provide specialized and differentiated instruction based on student needs and IEP goals Monitor student progress and use data to guide instructional decisions Adapt curriculum, instructional materials, and teaching strategies to meet individual learning needs Collaborate with general education teachers, related service providers, administrators, and families Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to educational planning and goal development Maintain accurate documentation, progress reports, and student records Implement appropriate classroom and behavior management strategies Foster a positive, structured, and inclusive learning environment

QUALIFICATIONS
Active South Carolina teaching license appropriate for the Special Education assignment required Previous Special Education or school-based teaching experience preferred Strong understanding of IEP development, implementation, and progress monitoring Knowledge of differentiated instruction and Special Education best practices Strong classroom management, communication, and collaboration skills Ability to effectively support students with a variety of learning needs SKILLS Special Education instruction Individualized and differentiated instruction IEP development and implementation Progress monitoring and data-driven instruction Classroom and behavior management Collaboration and communication Organization and documentation Student-centered instructional planning
