Category Schools - Special Education Teacher Job Type Contract Bring your expertise in Special Education to a rewarding contract role supporting students across multiple grade levels. This position offers the opportunity to work in a variety of classroom environments, from moderate to co-taught resource and self-contained settings. With placements available at elementary, middle, high school, and PreK, you'll be able to tailor your skills to the group and environment that inspires you most.
Key qualifications:
Valid South Carolina SPED Teacher License with multi-categorical or appropriate endorsement(s) Prior experience in special education classroom settings preferred Flexibility to work across multiple campuses and with different age groups Strong collaboration and communication skills Ability to foster an inclusive classroom environment EC certification/endorsement required Role details and responsibilities: Serve in a contract capacity from now through May 28, 2027, with 35 to 37.5 hours per week Openings include elementary, middle, high school, and PreK, each with specific schedules and classroom structures Design and implement individualized education plans in coordination with general education and special education teams Support students in moderate, multi-categorical self-contained, and co-taught resource classrooms Maintain accurate records and progress reports Champion a supportive, innovative, and nurturing learning environment for all students Interested candidates should submit a blinded resume, copies of certifications, and note their preferred age group(s).
