9667998-29063 Job Description Make a real impact in the lives of elementary students as a Special Education Teacher supporting a BIC classroom. This contracted opportunity begins immediately and continues through the upcoming school year, with your expertise helping students who require behavior intervention and individualized plans to succeed. Qualifications:
Active South Carolina Special Education Teacher Certification:
Multi-categorical (PKGrade 12) or eligible to obtain Skilled in managing the IEP process, developing goals, and implementing accommodations Previous experience (preferred) working with children requiring behavior intervention Willing and able to work in-person, onsite, consistently following the school day and school year calendar
Responsibilities:
Provide specialized instruction and support that meets a diverse range of behavioral and academic needs Develop, implement, and monitor Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) in collaboration with families and fellow educators Employ positive behavioral intervention strategies tailored to elementary-aged students Maintain thorough documentation and communicate student progress effectively Foster a safe, supportive, and engaging classroom environment positive for learning This full-time position offers a schedule of 37.5 hours per week, Monday through Friday, ensuring work-life balance while making an invaluable contribution. Compensation is determined based on experience and will be reviewed prior to your interview.
