Key Qualifications:
Valid South Carolina Special Education teaching license, including Early Childhood endorsements Experience working with preschool-aged children, preferably in special education settings Strong classroom management and adaptation skills for diverse learning needs Proven ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including teachers, specialists, and families Commitment to fostering inclusive and engaging classroom environments
Primary Responsibilities:
Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to each students unique abilities Design activities that support cognitive, social, and emotional development for young learners with developmental delays Assess student progress regularly and adjust teaching strategies as necessary Communicate effectively with families, caregivers, and school staff regarding student progress and classroom initiatives Create a supportive, structured, and welcoming classroom environment emphasizing positive reinforcement and cooperation This full-time role runs from as soon as possible through May 21, 2027, offering 37.5 hours per week throughout the contract.
