Overview Inspired Minds Academy is seeking an Independent Education Contractor to provide educational and enrichment services to students. The contractor will independently plan, prepare, and deliver age-appropriate instruction and activities while meeting agreed-upon program objectives. This position is ideal for an experienced educator who enjoys working with children and creating engaging, hands-on learning experiences. Responsibilities Provide educational and enrichment services to assigned students or programs. Independently determine appropriate teaching methods, activities, and instructional approaches. Plan and prepare lessons and learning activities based on the agreed-upon program objectives. Provide instruction that is developmentally appropriate for the students served. Coordinate service times and scheduling with Inspired Minds Academy. Provide appropriate instructional materials, supplies, and resources as needed for the services provided. Create and maintain a safe, welcoming, and professional learning environment. Communicate appropriately with the academy regarding student participation, scheduling, and program-related needs. Adjust activities and instruction as appropriate to support individual student needs and learning styles. Maintain professional standards when interacting with students, families, and academy representatives. Contractor Relationship Services are provided on an independent contract basis and not as an employee of Inspired Minds Academy. The contractor independently controls the manner, means, methods, and instructional approach used to provide the contracted services. The contractor may provide educational or related services to other clients, schools, businesses, or organizations. The contractor is responsible for applicable federal, state, and local taxes, insurance, licensing, supplies, materials, and other business expenses associated with providing services. Compensation will be based on the agreed-upon services, sessions, programs, or projects. The contractor is responsible for maintaining any credentials, certifications, or professional requirements applicable to the services they provide. No employee benefits, paid time off, or guaranteed ongoing employment are provided. Preferred Qualifications Experience working with elementary-age children or young learners. Experience providing educational, enrichment, tutoring, or instructional services. Strong communication and classroom-management skills. Ability to independently plan and deliver engaging, age-appropriate learning experiences. Montessori experience and training is preferred. Experience working with diverse learning needs is a plus. Reliable, professional, organized, and comfortable working independently. Ability to provide a positive and engaging learning environment for children. Excellent communication skills for effective parent communication, team collaboration, and mentoring colleagues. Familiarity with educational compliance regulations, instructional technology integration, applied behavior analysis (ABA), speech therapy techniques, and behavioral health principles. Relevant teaching certification or licensure in early childhood education or special education preferred. Current First Aid and CPR certification is required.
