Qualifications:
The teacher will have at least an A.A. degree in Early Childhood Education or Child Development and over 1 year of teaching experience. Teacher should have a pleasant voice and friendly attitude as well as being easy going and unhurried. Teacher should also be a positive role model for parents and children in health and safety, cleanliness, speech and language, and social relationships.
Responsibilities:
1. Open the center by 6:55 AM. 2. Plan and appropriate activities for the children each day in art, music, language, and motor development. 3. Plan and appropriate activities for the children each week in science, math, and multicultural experiences. 4. Observe and evaluate each child's progress and provide a written report to the director and parents every 3 months. 5. Work cooperatively with staff members and parents. 6. Be available for parent conferences when necessary. 7. Attend monthly staff meetings and parent functions. 8. Perform other duties as assigned. 9. Handle final cleanup of designated classroom at the end of the day (clean floors & throw out trash) 10. Notify the director in the event of absence. 11. Know and comply with the minimum standards for child-care centers. •Must past a Criminal Background check. Should the applicant be hired, they will need to be CPR/First Aid Certified within 90 days of employment.
