This contract opportunity places you in a self-contained Alternate Learning/Life Skills classroom working with a manageable caseload of 10 students in grades K-5. Supported by two dedicated paraprofessionals, you will create a safe, structured, and nurturing learning space tailored to diverse student needsincluding intellectual disabilities, Autism, TBI, and medically complex conditions.

Qualifications:

Active Texas Special Education Certification EC-6 Certification required Experience supporting students with significant academic and functional needs is preferred

Key Responsibilities:

Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) for students, focusing on both academic and life skills goals Collaborate closely with paraprofessional staff, therapists, and families to promote student achievement and well-being Adapt instruction to meet a wide range of learning styles and abilities within a small classroom environment Foster a supportive, inclusive atmosphere that encourages student engagement and growth Monitor progress, collect data, and adjust instruction as needed to ensure positive outcomes

Position Details:
