Were seeking experienced Special Education Teachers for immediate contract positions at the elementary level. Youll have an opportunity to tailor your expertise within specialized settings, either in a life skills classroom, an autism support classroom, or a behavior-focused environment. Roles are available at Rutherford, Mackey, and JR Thompson Elementary Schools. Each site features close-knit teams and resources designed to empower you and your students.

Responsibilities:

Deliver individualized and small-group instruction in self-contained or specialized classrooms, providing support to students with varied needs and abilities. Develop and implement effective IEPs, behavior intervention plans, and classroom strategies. Collaborate with general education teachers, support staff, and families to foster student success. Create a positive, structured classroom atmosphere that encourages communication, independence, and confidence. Monitor progress, maintain accurate records, and participate in ARD/IEP meetings.

Requirements and Preferred Qualifications:

Accredited bachelors degree. Current, valid Texas Special Education (EC-12) certificate. Experience working with elementary-aged students with significant support needs and/or in self-contained special education settings. Flexibility to work full-time (37.5 hrs/week) on-site at one Texas elementary campus. Ability to select a preferred caseload: Life Skills, Autism, or Total Language Classroom. Successful completion of TEA fingerprinting (if not completed recently)please note, start date is based on clearance confirmation.
